Default Mystery Herrett question

I was rummaging through the local gun stores mystery grip box and found a set of N frame smooth targets that had been modified with finger grooves and are actually quite comfortable.

... and I found a set of Herretts ( I believe troopers) that are too big for a N frame and a python and too small for a Ruger super blackhawk. I have no idea what they could be for.

Thanks for the help.

Have you tried them on a Colt New Service Revolver?
The grip pin is centered on a S&W.

Edit:
Too slow...

I have not. I don't have a colt new service to try it on. I'll have to track in down this weekend

What would a set like this be worth. I have $10 invested total for the 2 pairs

I didn't read your initial post carefully enough. Sorry...

The Herret's are worth $75 or more. We would have to see a photo of the Modified S&W stocks to determine a value.
