44 MAGNUM Information Now Available

The Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of the most comprehensive information on the "44 MAGNUM" that has been developed to date (through the efforts of Roy Jinks, Historian, Smith & Wesson). The information is contained in forty-two pages and includes an article by Bill Cross and Mr. Jinks entitled, " A Brief History of the 44 Magnum" and a list of serial numbers, shipping dates, and descriptions of over one thousand 44 Magnums dating from 1955 to 1970. Included are many of the rare barrel lengths as well as engraved and presentation revolvers.

The cost is $50.00 per copy (not tax deductible) and can be ordered by sending a check payable to the SWHF to: Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation, ATTN: Ken Cheely, P. O. Box 1494, Great Bend, KS 67530.

Please include a note with your name and mailing address.

Orders will be taken for approximately three weeks with mailing of the information to begin on February 20, 2012.

This information will be of interest to all collectors of the 44 Magnum, as well as collectors of other S&W firearms. The money raised will be used to digitize and index additional records of Smith & Wesson housed at the Museum of Springfield History.

Thanks to all who assembled this project. I am really anxious to see this info too, it seems like a must have item.
I saw the post from Sheryl about the possible delay with printing/shipping but I am curious to know if the checks we sent are being held in a queue of some sort?
I mailed mine on Feb. 2nd and it hasn't cleared my bank yet. My concern is that if my check didn't arrive at its destination I wont get my book.
