I started collecting Smith's on Jan. 2nd 2012 when I bought by 1st revolver. The SW500. Since I have purchased a few more but I don't think this is an addiction. 32 Long HE of 1903 2nd change from 1906, 38 M&P Model of 1905 1st change from 1906, 38 M&P 5 screw pre 10 from 1941, Baby Chief Special 5 screw Feb 1953, Model 19-4 4", Model 19-4 2.5" and not shown as it is still at FFL but purchased in January is a 67 no dash.

BTW... I was kidding about my wife..she is only complaining because she doesn't like to shoot revolvers. She wants me to buy another Bottom Feeder so she gets to participate. I told her no problem. She is getting a new 9mm...she wants a CZ75B. What a terrible wife I have...I have to buy more guns to make her happy

Addiction? What addiction? Doesn't every buy S&W revolvers in groups? I personally do not see a problem, except that I do not see a single N frame revolver in your collection. Nor do I see a single nickel Smith in your collection. You must rectify this immediately! Go now, find a N frame.....sorry, I tend to get a little carried away sometimes. I will go back to my room now.

If she thinks your are addicted to Smiths, take a picture of the shoes in her closet. :-)

JCS&W... The 38 M&P Model of 1905 is nickel..
I started out wanted only nickel and only N frames.. 29-2, 27-2... but I keep getting waylaid by other guns. I guess I'm saving the best for last!

buying quality handguns...its not an addiction, its an investment. Now if you were dumping money in some mutual fund earning you a meager percentage, would you be considered a mutual fund investment addict? No. You are an investor......one that gets to play with his investments in his hands instead of reading about his investments on a spreadsheet.

I don't see a problem here....and congratulations on your great finds! You definitely need to add some Nframes, I would suggest startind with a heavy duty, then at least one each of the highway patrolman, then at least two .44 magnums, one of which must be a 6 1/2", and of course you MUST have two or more of the .357 Magnum, if you are lucky enough to find a Registered Magnum, but really, any of them will do. Then you must duplicate each in nickel, then in stainless, then........

If she would rather have you at a bar spending money? If bills are paid and food is on the table. Most women have no problem. The biggest thing I have found is you still need to pay them attention. Which is not a problem when you have that special one.

I think you've set a wonderful precedent..............now when you only buy two or three a month, she'll realize how well you've "moderated" your passion, and she'll be SO proud of you!

Besides, it's not a gun collection.........it's your stock portfolio!
