15-3 Price check
A good friend has a Model 15-3 2" nickel that he wants $400 for. From what I can tell, it was made in 1977. It's a 10K serial number range, and it is marked 15-3. This is not the best picture, he sent to me from a cell phone. It looks great in person. The only wear I can see is a faint turn line on the cylinder. He got it from the original owner and I know that my buddy has fired it very little. He has the box, tools, and paperwork, all in excellent shape. It also comes with a nice leather Bianchi paddle holster. I don't know the model of it, but I probably won't be using it anyway. I don't really need this, but I kinda like it. It would be my first nickel handgun of any type. What do you guys think? If I wind up with it, I will post some better pictures of it.

JUMP on it and QUICKLY! Thats a fantastic price and a very nice revolver! You could flop it IF you didn't keep it and get $500.00 for it pretty quickly. Don't see as many nickeled versions and you have a winner from the description you gave. A few on GB are going for $600.00+ with the box and all. If you don't buy it I know someone who would right now at that fantastic price.
I just bought an unfired blued model one and love it. One of the classiest revolvers ever made IMO and I've been wanting one for years. I just had to shoot it and put six through the cylinder. Don't plan on packing it as I like stainless and my trusty Colt Commander for CC (sorry guys) for that chore but it would make a great carry/woods revolver. Mine shot very well. Kept 6 shots on a 10" paper plate from 25 yards offhand and DA. Before I shot it I opened up the sideplate, cleaned the crud out. I use Militec grease on all of the contact surfaces then apply their lube to everything else. Feels like a $100.00 trigger job for pennies.
Good luck, hope you buy it and post some pics if you do.

Thanks guys. Just needed a little extra "push". Even the wife likes it! I want to put a polished T-grip on it. Probably never carry it though.

You will be amazed at the accuracy of that Model 15 even with the 2 inch barrel.
Last month I picked up this 1974 15-3 in nickle from a young guy for $430 at a local gun show.
I would be there right now on that 2 incher...

I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of that "sissy pistol". Especially if they are as accurate as everyone says they are.

I'd buy it. I got into mine at $420 on a trade deal. The previous owner had a $600 price tag on it.
