Default Model 10-6 Source for low profile front sight

I've got a model 10-6, heavy bull barrel.....but it is missing the front sight. Can someone suggest a source for a new one, an original low profile ramp? It looks like it's a press friction fit.

Default lso need the front blade

I also have a 10-6. It's a Malaysia Police turn in. It looked like someone replaced the front blade with the hand from another gun that was ground down in size then pressed in and they tried to peen it in place. I was able to tap it out with a small brass hammer. Now it has just the groove. Appears to be semi circular.

I'd check with places like Numrich, Brownell's, or USA Guns & Gear.com. The last one specializes in used parts. I've purchased from all 3 and was satisfied with what I got each time. There are also several sellers on Ebay...a quick check just now revealed several front sights over there that might work for either of you guys. Good luck!

I looked and looked but was never able to find one believe it or not, despite stalking ebay and Numrich for something like a year......I even ordered a few things from Numrich but parts didn't match.....I finally solved the problem by taking it to a gunsmith in Southern Maryland that had a good rep and he had one in a spare parts box. But it was a two hour drive there and back to drop it off and then again to pick it back up and was $50 for the parts, very frustrating since I only paid $150 for it in the first place. But that was years ago, my post was from back in 2012.

Heh, thanks, Spur! Looks like the guy above me tacked on to your vintage post and I didn't notice the date on yours. Oh, well, the advice still stands for him if he comes back to it.

Well, I appreciate the info provided. I found one on ebay where the guy shows the measurements on digital calipers. I double checked with my Barrel and the hunk of metal I pulled out. I even stalled on doing it and got a 10% off offer. So I went ahead and got it.
Being a gunsmith I could make one, but if I can find the factory part, I would rather do that. Otherwise, I would make a new one of mild steel and harden it.
Since the thickness was a match to the 10 thousandth, I decided to chance it. I'm sure I can make it work.
It will look better as its serrated at the factory. I wouldn't take the time to do that for my own revolver.

Sometimes reviving and ancient thread is just what it takes to find the answer.

I tend to forget about ebay. But it usually has something I need.

To be honest, Terry, I don't think much of them. $22 for a nickel sideplate screw, $275 for a hammer.....seriously?!?!? There seems to be "proud of your products," and then there's "Jack First proud," if ya know what I mean!
