Does my 27-2 have original stocks?
I plan on posting another thread with questions regarding selling my 27-2, but I have one simple question that can be answered quickly. I'm the original owner and I have the box. The gun has target stocks, and I frankly can't remember if I negotiated with the gun shop to put on target stocks. The box indicated the stocks are "S". Thanks.

The "S" stands for service.

I'm the original owner of a 27-2 and mine came with target stocks and there is a "+" mark in the "Stock" field on the box.

It is actually a T.
S stands for "Standard".

Thanks. The gun has standard trigger and hammer, which I remember thinking I might have changed. I never got around to it. Now I can honestly say the gun is completely original except for the stocks.

I just went through some of my letters and have 3 that indicate the S in the stock part of the label indicates a square butt. The letters are for 2 Model 28-2's, one was shipped 1975 and the other 1967.They had target stocks on them not numbered to the gun. The 3rd one is for a model 520 that shipped in 1980 and also had target stocks not numbered to the gun.
