What's your favorite K frame?
Many of us here probably own a large number of guns that are quite similar to each other. Well, I have a special fondness for the K frame 357s. They just seem to balance better that the L frames in my hand and I just prefer them. Also, I love target stocks.
So here is my favorite K frame; my 6" 66-2. Absolutely great shooters!
So, what your favorite K frame?

It`s a tough call to say what my favorite K frame is, but Ill have to go with my Model 10-5 with the 4 inch barrel. There are so many reasons I love this gun, versatility probably being the biggest reason. This is a gun that I actively carry.

I'm an N-frame kinda guy for any other caliber than a .22. Therefore, the K22 Model 17 is my chosen flavor and the answer to your query.

My favorite K frame as well, a 6 inch 66-2. Very accurate and fun to shoot. Of course my collection of K frame K38's and K22's are a very close second and third!

My vote for K-frame is my model 65 3". In second place is a model 67.

HA! Another excuse to mention my 10-9--my favorite because it's the only K-frame I own:
To me, the 4" pencil barrel M10/M&P is the most graceful handgun there is!

On vacation in Viet Nam north today in Chau Long Sapa 1click from the Chinese border. Its beautiful here. Got to keep in touch. I love the Skinney barrel mod-10 4" for K frame guns. Haven't found one when I have money. Last one I got was a worn Mod-66 but good shooter. Harry
By the way Viet Nam aint the same place I remember. Long Binh 518th Engineers Nov 1970- 27 July 1971. Long Binh is not there and Tahn Son Nuit Air Base is Ho Chi Min Airport. Where'd the Soda Stands go? Has anyone seen Jay Bucktel?

I love all smith revolvers. But my favorite model is the mod.10 any or no dash 2" bbls. I love 38spl.only smith revolvers. Hell 38spl. has served this country very well for way over a hundred years.

At the moment it's my M15 two inch.
It just seems better balanced than my M19 and M66 2.5 guns.
The difference is slight but there.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm new to the forum page and I see so many great threads I missed out on! The only K frame I have so far is a blued, snub Model 15. I really love snub and 4" barrel 19's and snub 10's, but my 15 is in superb shape and it is exquisite! I have been shooting guns since I was about 6 or 7, got my first gun at 10 years old, and I had never liked revolvers my whole life. I used to listen to the hype of low capacity, harder to reload jive, but in the last year or so, I have watches many westerns and film noirs and detective/mobster TV shows and movies and for some reason, revolvers not only grew on me, but have also become my favorite type of gun. Bought an 1873 replica single action 45 long colt and it was done Hill from there. I have 4 snub DA wheel guns now, 2 Taurus (617 and 605) which I do love, but I have always been an old school kind of guy and guns are no different. I have my blued Model 15-3 and a 36 no dash in nickel. I want so many of them! Point of my story is since acquiring my 15, I have grown to feel that in my opinion, that is the most beautiful handgun in the world. A little hard to conceal, but it makes a great house piece while my 36 is my travel buddy. Love them both dearly. Now I want about 15 S&W's and about 6 or 7 Colts. My last 4 guns have been revolvers and I have no plans on buying another semi-auto until I fill out my collection of Smiths and Colts first.

Its a tie between the K22 2nd Model and early "Pre" Model 19 Combat Magnum.
Both are not only unique but made in small enough quantites as to make them a rare find...... especially in high condition .

I really like all K frames....especially the model 17, & 19.
But I also like model 13's, 48's, 10's...geeze I just like em' all !
My favorite lately is a 17-4 with the 3 T's.
If I could only have one......it would drive me crazy trying to decide
which one to keep.......
Texan
P.S. The S&W model 63 no dash is a keeper too..........

I only have two, a 13-3 4" and a 65-5 3", both recent purchases.
Here's the 13-3
I have to say, this is an accurate revolver! Feel is sweet and the balance and action are perfect.
Here's the 65-5
I'm having a bit of trouble with Hogue CS getting the anchor nut for the attaching stirrup. I bought these grips 20+ years back for another project and finally decided to use them here. These grips aren't relieved for the grip pin to remain in the grips, so the "other" stirrup is used and in this case, the nut with the smaller diameter threads. Seems I'm inconveniencing the CS girl, but I'll keep after it and report back.
As to how this 65 shoots, fuggeddaboutit! It's all that and a bag of nuts. This thing shoots true and with these grips the recoil is minimal and the control is spot on.
Why I waited for a K frame, I'll never know.

It`s really hard to pick one. But I guess the 17-4 gets shot more than the others.

This one. 1905 early pre heat treated 4th change. This has to be the sweetest shooter I own. Also the coolest. Barrel has been shortened to just shy of 4 inches and the single and double action are slicker than a baby's behind. Shots point of aim up to 25 yards. Just don't get no better.

That is a tough question.
But off of the top of my head. I would have to say that my model 67 gets the nod.
