Default 2" Nickel 15-3 aquired yesterday

Picked this up from a good friend yesterday. He was selling it to fund a plastic carry subcompact. I didn't tell him, but I like this one better than his new one. He bought it used 30 yrs. ago.

He already regrets it. I'm not allowed to shoot it in his presence!

Great story kennyb. What are the odds of that happening?

Congratulations! You did well in my book. I have the same gun in blue and love the way it shoots. Enjoy your new prize.

I went to the GS at Stout Field in Indianapolis yesterday. A dealer had a mint, boxed, nickel 2", Model 15 for $850! It had beautiful mother-of-pearl grips. He would not deal...$850 Firm! I passed. Yours is really nice!!! Skip48

No he didn't shoot it much. 100 rounds according to him. He carried it with snake shot in it at the hunting land. He wanted 400 for it. I told him I would give him 450. His new carry piece was 479. I was trying to help out. Got it for 400. I can't believe the prices on some of these old S&W's. Same guy tried to sell me a 4" M19 20 yrs. ago for 250. I passed. Kick myself in the butt every time I think about it. Definitely was a factor in this purchase.

I like Colts too. Except the cylinder turns the wrong way and the latch is backwards. Oh, I forgot about the Government Models too!

Default You may be happy now.....

but that relationship is just going to continue to fester over this deal. Your best bet is to get as much distance between you and that M15 as fast as you can and do whatever is possible to maintain that friendship.

Uh..hum, I just went on Google Maps and I'm the farthest away from you geographically as possible. PM me for directions to get that beautiful thing relocated to my collection!

What a beauty! One classy revolver IMO and your's in nickel is a prime example. Paid a little more for mine unfired and have only shot 6 shots through it as it's pristine and I plan on keeping it that way. If so it'll be my one and only safe queen as the finish on it is the best of all of my revolvers.

You did real good on that price! Don't sell or trade it off as you'll regret it!

That's a beautiful nickeled M15. I wanted a M15 snub for a good many years but they were pretty rare around these parts. I came across one in my favorite LGS used case about three years ago. It is in perfect condition with box and papers. They priced it a $400 and I gladly paid that to take it home. I don't carry it much. Actually, my most frequently carried business gun is one of the plastic subcompacts. If I drop one of those it's no big deal. I save the M15 for special days when I want to carry something that has asthetic appeal. I would NEVER trade it for a plastic pistol though.
