Need some trade input please
Have a guy on a local board that wants to trade a S&W 66-1 6inch and Ruger LCR for my WASR package. WASR has (17) 30rd mags and (1) 75 rd drum. Don't know a whole lot about value on the 66-1. Here's a pic of the Smith

The long barrel is not in big demand and ordinarily one would expect target grips rather than the smaller magnas. I'd say that's $500 to $575 gun. Unless you you really want a 6" revolver, I'd keep the SHTF rifle.

That's not a bad price. The guy is giving me the Smith AND a LCR in .357 for the WASR. I have 6 AR's so I'm not worried about SHTF lol.

Down here (SE Texas) I do not see many, if any, (never seen one in person) 66-1 P & R revolvers with the 6 inch barrel. All I have ever seen is 4" and 2 1/2" models.
Sounds like you have SHTF covered and I doubt the WASR package is worth more than the S&W and LCR combined.
I would do the trade if both revolvers check out as mechanically good.
If the LCR looks as good as the Model 66-1, I personally think you would get the better end of the trade.

Owner claims there has been less than 50 rounds fired through the LCR

The first question is do you want the 6" Model 66 AND the Ruger?
Or are you trading for 1 or more revolvers that you are then going to sell off?
Trade wise the value is pretty much there.
However if the trade is going to just create more work I would pass. In order for me to trade for things I am not looking for, value has to be skewed in my favor or why bother
When I put up a for sale ad, I specifically state that I will not consider trades for things I can go to the corner gun store and buy off the shelf

Well I have a 4" sp101 that I just picked up and love shooting it. It makes sense to me that if I were going to trade do it for something in the same caliber I already shoot. The 7.62 is the only thing in that caliber I own. I have lots of polymer pistols, and 1911 and a 629 Smith. But I figured the P&R Smiths are hard to come by and I enjoy a nice stainless revolver. The LCR will be a gift to my father. He had always wanted a snubbie and I instantly thought of him. He always puts everyone in front of himself so I figured it's a nice surprise

As long as you would be happy with the trade I would go ahead with it as you have your bases already covered for the SHTF problem.
