Model 57, 4 inch, shipped December 1964
This model 57 was shipped in December, 1964. It's in pretty good shape and doesn't show hardly any use.
I thought I would post a couple of photos. I was glad to learn it is a first year gun. Serial is S 253824.

Perfect. That's what a Model 57 should look like.

Gorgeous. Wouldn't dare wish for something like that -- then I'd have to decide if I wanted to just look at it or actually shoot it.
Beautiful gun. Vern

Ok, I need to know: is that Patridge/Gold bead sight original or a modification?

That's nothing but one great looking 57! Great revolver and round. I'm also looking for a hog leg 8 3/8" in nickel to finish off my five .41 mag collection.
Had a 6" P&R that looked like that years ago. It's taken 45 deer and still going strong, but isn't pretty like that beautiful specimen of your's. Great cartridge for taking anything with the right load.

Very very nice! Excellent job on the photos. I hope you don't mind but I'm going to use one of the picks as my computer background.

Lenny,
I don't mind if you use any one of those photos for your background, use either one you want.
