Default Model 13-2

Hello, I just acquired a S&W 13-2 .357 revolver. The owner has had in a safe for over 10 years. He purchased from a friend who knew very little about it. This is a blued frame, 4" barrel, fixed sight, black rubber grips. While previous owner never fired it, it appears unfired and about 99% of like new. Sadly no box nor paperwork. On the yoke is stamped MOD 13-2, and under that is stamped DI6 then under it is stamped 09756. I cannot find any other stamps that would look like a serial number. Is this enough information to tell me what model year it may be and if there are any issues known about this model?

The serial number is on the bottom of the grip frame.

Do I need to remove grips to see it? The grips cover the entire bottom.

Yes. It isn't hard to remove the grips. That is where the number is, so if you want the number that is where you have to look.
