Default My first model 27

Picked up this 27-2 8 3/8" "S" prefix revolver this evening. I also scored a 29-2 .44 4"... Both are in super shape. I plan to shoot these guns with care and rub 'em with a diaper once they come home.

One question... How long does it take to develop a turn line on a revolver? I know it varies but wondering how long its gonna be before this 29 has a more pronounced turn line?? Attached are some crummy pics taken on my iphone!

Congratulations

Turn line will depend on revolver timing and how the stop bolt was fitted. Every revolver is different

What do you guys think about the gold inlay in the lettering? I really dont prefer it. The thought of pouring acetone on the gun to remove this sounds CRAZY to me.. If I want to remove the lettering, is acetone really the best option? Yes, I'm paranoid.

Nice sixguns.

To additionally avoid a "turn line" when returning the cylinder to battery, as into the frame, align the cylinder so that the bolt immediately rides into the bolt recess of the cylinder and not the cylinder wall and then rotates into the bolt recesses.
