I just received my Kurac grips today. Put them on my 27-2 just to see how they look. They are awesome.

Those are both beautiful.
Normally I say I don't care for "white on white" but in the case of that nickeled 29, I'll make an exception.

I have to admit, I like the looks of that M29 with Kurac's curly maple stocks. I wonder why?

Cocabola (?) on a 29-2. I really like the dark businesslike look of these. Those are claro walnuts that reside on my nickel 29-2.

Yeah, Kurac stocks are pretty nice. Here are my latest, French walnut, on my 8 3/8" M57.
Sometimes a Smith and a Beretta go pretty well together.

That curly maple on the white is stunning, a tooled tan leather holster would be an awesome way to pack it too Thanx for sharing.

Navarre, I think that those grips would look great on my 28 no dash! Send them to me, and I'll tell you if I am right or not! Somehow, I don't think you are going to do it! Well, enjoy them. I am a sucker for nice wood. Bob

I wanted to say thank you guys for posting all of your pictures. There have been some awesome revolvers with some truly outstanding stocks! I have gotten some great ideas from your pictures. I talked with John about what I wanted and he will create a pair using a light walnut at his discretion. I am really looking forward to seeing what he comes up with. In the mean time, keep those great pictures coming. I could look at those all day long and never get tired.
It's too bad we can't have a sticky with just photos of his stocks.

Kurac has posted before about the great variation in woods of the same species. In particular, he's mentioned the differences in Goncalo Alves. Here are a couple of examples--BOTH stocks are Goncalo Alves, on a 25-7 and a 14-3. Do they look like the same wood? I love John's grips!
