629 no dash, Box ?
Just aquired a 629 no dash, 6" barrel, P & R, Serial # 853xxx. Which box did it come in originally? Any help appreciated.

Your 629 would have shipped with a presentation case like the one shown below. The revolver would have been shipped in a plain, blue, cardboard box. The case and cardboard box with the 629 would have been shipped in a larger cardboard shipping container with an end label indicating the model and serial number.

Did 629's always come standard with the wooden display case, Doc? I thought that it was just an option.

The presentation case was standard until sometime in 1982 and was an option until 1985.
