I recently bought an almost new looking 27-2. I received the tools, papers, a perfect presentation box and a second blue box I was told the gun shipped in.the blue box is plain s&w blue with no markings nor any indication of a label having been attached. Can someone confirm this plain box is correct?
If your case(type D) is like the one in the picture and the blue box looks like this one your box is correct!
The gun was packed in the blue box, the case was sealed in cellophane, and both were packed in the bigger cardboard box with the end label on the end of the bigger box. I have recovered the liners in the case in the picture.
