Default Model 60 (no dash)

Just got a model 60 (no dash) serial R108xxx. Never fired but kept in a leather holster for years so little pitting near the yoke. Really sad because, other than that, this thing is in great shape.

1. Nearest I can guess this was made 1974 to 1977. Can anyone get me closer than that?

2. So because of the pitting I am probably going to shoot this and have fun with it but I hate the thin serrated trigger. Can I get a wide smooth trigger for this?

I believe 1974 would be a good guess.

I don't know about the parts swap, but I'd guess a smooth trigger from the '80s would work.

Where can I buy a trigger? Does S&W sell them to the public? I don't see them on their website as available. I do see some on Numrich but I'm not sure which is the correct one for me.

Place a "Want To Buy" thread here in the forum classifieds.
I believe they call the stainless steel revolver triggers and hammers flashed chrome. And it is a J frame.

OK, so one last question. That trigger is "stripped" so, I'm guessing, it does not have that little post thing (lever?). How difficult is it to add that lever?

I found out a little info that I thought might help others in a similar situation. First a "stripped" trigger does have the rebound lever. It does not have the hand spring pin or the hand spring.
How to do this is still a mystery to me so I am going to post about it in the gunsmithing forum here and see if I can find out further.
