I have a s&w revolver with the factory scalops milled into the barrel for scope rings. I am looking for the scope rings, I was told that the standard millet rings will not work, please help.

Millet or other Weaver style scope rings should work. I think that is the purpose in having the factory milling cuts. The rings in the picture you referenced do not look like the factory rings that came with my 29-3.

Some say millets won't work. Weaver style I know won't work becasue the slot is like a half circle.

The "Weaver Style" designates they have the Cross-Bar that fits in the Slot broached cross-ways in your Barrel!!
