Default model 60 no dash,no barrel pin, transition gun???

guys,i went through the posts about the 60 no dash guns with no pinned barrel.are these model 60 no dash guns called transitional guns?from what i could gather from the posts,these guns were put together in the early 80's.if anyone has any info about the history of these "transitional" model 60 snubbys,i sure would appreciate it folks.also,is there any price difference with these model 60 no dash guns,and the earlier model 60 no dash pinned guns.this one i found is new in the box,thanks for any and all advice guys

Transition to What? In the early 80's, 82 I think they quit pinning the barrels.

They made the no dash 36's, 37's and 60's for quite some time, even post 1982 when they stopped pinning barrels. It's not transitional or special, it's a not pinned 60

nipster,thanks,i saw the word transitional mentioned in the posts about the 60 no dash when i was looking for information,as i had thought all 60 no dash guns were pinned.

There's a lot of those "transitions" in S&Ws.
Its not like cars when one model stops and they take up with a new one.
My understanding is that they used up parts and some ran out sooner than others.
I have a 15-4 which, according to SCSW, should be pinned. Its not.

Like 10-8's, 15-4 production ran past 1982, so it stands to reason that pinned barrels disappeared at some point
