My local dealer has a 45acp 125th Anniversary Commemorative for sale. It has all of the bells and whistles. Box,papers, coin, etc. Not sure of the dash number. I've seen these guns in 45 Colt but not in 45acp. The price is $700 dollars and it is unfired. How many of these were made in 45acp? If i buy it I want to fire it. What about the oversized throats? Any opinions would be appreciated.
The commemorative was the Model 25-3 (and -4 but the -4 was an engraved deluxe variant).I don't think that any of these were made in .45 ACP. Better double-check the chamber depths.
If it is new and unfired with all of the original stuff (special wood case, medallion or coin thingee, Jinks book in the box lid) then $700 is a pretty good price.
