Default Presentation Case

Is there any way a presentation case for a six inch gun could be made to work for a five inch gun? I have a six inch case if the insert could be cut down to fit the five. Has anyone tried this before? It would be nice if I could find a five inch insert. It is the one made from plastic. The gun is a model 27-2 five inch. Thank You.

I HAVE A FIVE INCH INSERT FOR A PRESENTATION CASE. l'M
ON THE ROAD RIGHT NOW AND CAN'T GIVE YOU THE DIMENSIONS OF THE INSERT. I'm sure we could come to some terms on the insert. I have a 5" 27-2 in a presentation case I can match it up with. I'll be guing home for the hollidays and we could contact then by phone and I can go over the details. The insert is about 90% it has some wear but little to no loss of flocking. PM me if intrested.

Default Changing barrel length in a case!

Altering the liners of a case would be very difficult! The problem area is the front sight! To move this part of the liner back 1" would require cutting the preformed barrel end with the front sight area and moving this part backward which would require reattaching it back in and then filling the blank area left by the cutting process. The cost would far outreach the value added to the case! The problem with finding the 5" liners is in the fact they are the type C which were made for the mod 27 from 1975-1978.

The case for the 5", 6", and 6 1/2" liners is the same for all three! They will interchange!
