Question 1977 4 Inch K Frame with Red Translucent Sight insert? PIX of Sight Added

I don't know much about K frames and have a question. I have a very late 18-3 with 3 'Ts', with what looks to be a factory front sight as stated in the title. It's sort of pinkish red. When were these a factory option? I asume they were only available with the 3 Ts. Thanks for the help...
