Default In a quandry.......

Darn it - the pitfalls of working p/t in a LGS.

The last couple of months have seen me acquire 'my last one for awhile' - - FOUR (4) times. (An M&P 3", a M65 3", a M25-2 and a Rem. M870 Marine Magnum). I was done.

Then today come in and see that the boss has taken in a M67 (no dash), SS sight model, along with an old Hunter holster. Not logged in yet. Tight as can be, shot little, not given alot of care, dry, been in the weather some. Mechanically 'bout perfect.

Now - I already have a very much 'shooter grade' M15-3 4" that looks like it spent 20+ years in a duty holster. Tight, shoots great.
Also have my old duty M66 4" that I'll probably never part with.
Not to mention a host of other various K - cousins, but no M67's.

Wouldn't getting the M67 just be guilt-filled redundancy? Especially with the M15 and 66 in hand?
On the other hand, you don't see the SS-sight models all the time.......
I'm thinking he'll hand it to me for the equivalent of about $200. (Not really $$, just that much equivalent in work hours, ie, about 2 days)

What would ya'll do? Pass?

Get it, you'll regret it if you don't. Can't have too many you know.

You don't have a model 67 (an early one, to boot), so no redundancy - and the guilt will go away in about, oh, two days...

Buyers remorse or non-buyers remorse...which will bother the most? Or if you do get it, it should help make sure that the ammo you have stockpiled (maybe a lil guilt there too) won't go to waste?

If you pass on it, it will haunt you forever. If you buy it and have a problem with owning it, you can let it go and be guilt free!! :-)

Default Been in the weather?

Being stainless I would only be concerned about is if the internals are in good shape. Other than that, it sounds like a deal.

At that price you'd dang well better get it!

Lets put it this way: It's the equivalent of $200, right? Next year at this time if you buy it you could sell it for about three times that much. Plus you get to have fun shootin' it.
If you pass, do you think you'll still have the Two Bills layin' around in a year?

See, it's really easy when you think about it.

Any guilt you have will go right out the window when it's in your hands. Just say to yourself,"Wow, did I get a deal, or What?"

Wow - you guys are SO much help.
In fact, if I were to chart my 'join date' here on the SWF and SWCA and my bank account, I'm sure a correlation could be easily seen.

OK - 'bout time to leave for work and talk endlessly about AR's, magazines, lack of ammo, bad government and come home with the 67 at the end of the day. Thanks again. (I think :-) )

Sounds like a good deal, you do realize if you don't buy it, you will spend the next 5 years looking for 1 just like it!

The buying power of your dollars continues to fall, the value of your S&W continues to rise.....you're lucky to be in a place where so much nice merchandise crosses the countertop.

I could never work in a gun shop. Would have a serious case of the "gimmee's" everytime something I had wanted came through the door. My salary would be slowly eaten away each purchase and probably end up paying the owner at the end of the week. Frank

You're asking a bunch of S&W nuts for advice? Of course we're going to tell you to get it.

Guilt is easier to deal with than remorse. I had my conscience surgically removed in 1975.

$200 bucks=about 3 tanks of gas!! You can always sell something off later if you want to down size a bit. Probably for a good profit at that price.

Get it! I paid that for a 67 no dash [black sight] more than 20 years ago. I prefer the feel of it to my 66 no dash.
