Default CLP OK for Nickel Finish?

Will a healthy dose of CLP squirted into the action and left to soak overnight hurt the Nickle finish on a 27-2? Thanks.

Nickle is not nearly as fragile as people make out. Yes, some things can hurt it, but not CLP.

Why do you feel the need to gunk up the action by putting a bunch of dust attracting stuff inside the action? Did you drop the revolver into a mud hole?

I do not believe it will harm your nickel finish as some ammonia based solvents will, but why do it?

The inside needs a drop of oil on the studs, the rebound and then one drop on your finger spread around on the surfaces of the frame and the parts. Too much oil attracts garbage that can make the action sluggish.
