Would like to know if S & W can take some of the slack out of the cylinder, Its not bad but more than i like, Its not bad for a 57 no dash, what do u think, let me know.

What do you mean by slack? Front to rear movement is end shake, loose lock up could involve the cylinder stop, notches, as well as other parts. There really isn't much they can't fix. Give them a call for a price on repairs.
