Default S&W revolver.22 Remington Jet +.22WMR

Hi guys,
I have inherited a S&W model 53
It is in three cailbers .22 Remington Jet with Remington Jet cut sleeves to take .22 LR in the same cylinder and has a second cylinder chambered in .22 WMR.

The gun is in 99% NRA grade, with just the faintest sign of a drag line on the Jet/Mag cylinder.

The Barrel and cylinder are blued and have a faint purple cast to the blueing, where as the frame is a rich black blue, this contrasts in certain light.
It has a 6" pinned barrel and I believe it is an early 60's ish gun.

Is there anything anyone can tell me about it, including its estimated value, and if I shouldn't shoot it, it has been fired but no more that a handful of rounds by the looks of the cylinder.
