Looking for Manufacture Year for 10-7
Picked up a beautiful blue 10-7 (2" barrell) this afternoon and from what I can find online it looks like it was manufactured in 1977. Can someone please help me to confirm that? Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. SN# 09407-B2.

the S&W model 10-7 became available in 1977. look at the bottom of the gun grip to find the revolver serial number. it will have a "D" in it. with that information we will be able to narrow the year of manufacturer.
09407-B2 is not the s/n, but may be an assembly number.

Sorry. I was going by what the receipt said, not the gun. SN# is 6D18813. Thanks!

Thanks GerSan69! After realizing that they put the wrong SN# on the receipt (which I notified them about) 1980 is what I found, too. Being green about these things I appreciate the confirmation. Thanks, again.

Hope this works. Tried several times to get it to load. Finally had to compress the file. Picture does not do it justice. It is near mint condition.
