Default 13-3 latest purchase

Pretty clean, came with a set of Pach's on it but had purchased the grips from another forum member and did my first refinish.
What grips would have been on gun when new?
$450.00 included 100 rounds of ammo and a gun rug.
serial 9D70xxx...can anyone give me a mfg date?

Looks like I need to buy another set of grips so I can find a home for them as well!!!!

Thanks Masterbuck54

Very nice. Looks like 1974 or 75 manufacture date. probably shipped with square butt magnas.

The grips when new were most likely square butt PC* magnas. Early 1980s, maybe 1982.

*PC - Plain clothes. This type of magnas had rounded bottom edges.

Very nice score. I've recently completed a lot of reading about this model. The only negative I've read has been not to continually fire full load, light weight, magnum rounds or the frame will eventually suffer.

Odd, you're a SC member posting about this wheel gun. I, too, live in the Palmetto State and I'm about to part with a 13-2. I was wondering what kind of value to put on it. It appears $450 may be the sweet spot. Perfect timing.

I'm pretty sure yours is post 1982.

Here's a few pics of my 13-2 that's a few years older than yours. Love these pistols.

I hope I didn't high-jack your thread. We were both thinking about this at the same time and I saw no benefit to starting a new thread to yak about basically the same model.

Ok thanks to all.
Actually bought a set of grips at a local Pawn Shop about a month ago.
Just put them on...how's that look now?
