Default 28-2 help/ advice

Hi- The local gunshop has a 6" barreled S&W 28-2 for sale. It appears to be in good condition mechanically but it does have several serious dings, which are cosmetic. Is has some side-to-side cylinder play, but not a lot. At full cock it locks up tight, and on releasing the hammer the lockup is tight, too. He is only asking $345 for it. What ya think? Good deal or not? Any and all opinions appreciated.

And you haven't bought it yet?!

You know what to do.

I very much like my M28s; however, it is your decision. Can you live with the cosmetic damage, or will you end up pining for a prettier gun?

In any case, I would counter offer with something a little less. Never forget to haggle, no matter how good the deal is

I would Snag that thing ASAP at that price. It will look better after you get it home and get it all cleaned and waxed up, maybe a fresh pair of grips. If its still to ugly for ya you can sell it to me. Nothing like a good old M28 truck gun.

Me too!

Tight lock-up with the trigger pulled and held equals BUY at that price! A little cosmetic damage on a gun that was made to be carried every day is expected.
