Now What? 25-3
An elder Skeet buddy asked me to help him sell a S&W on the web.
Who's got the time?
For the sake of ease I just bought the darn thing. Model 25-3. Now what?

Aren't the 25-3's in 45 Colt? I didn't think they were cut for moon clips.

Yes, the M25-3 was chambered in .45 Colt.
If you reload, be aware that some Keith bullet reloads may be too long, as the M25-3 uses a shorter cylinder than the M25-5.

get some original type 45 colt bullets. the lyman mould number is 454190 then later changed to 452190. they are a rounded flat nose design, just like they used in the cowboy days. I currently have one I am shooting and have owned others that I shot. with the right loads they are quite accurate.231 and universal clays are good. the old standard is unique but I never liked it.

Buy these and go blasting. Good stuff, good company. The short cylinder will keep you from using my favorite 45 Colt bullet, the RCBS 270 SAA.

The 452423 originally designed for the .45AR will weigh @250gr if cast from coww. This bullet crimped in the crimp groove will fit the shorter S&W cylinders.

If you paid a NIB price, consider putting it in the safe. If you paid a using gun price, looks like you have good loading data now .
