Model 19-2 with 2 1/2" barrel, target hammer and trigger
I have a Model 19-2 with a 2 1/2" barrel, target trigger and target hammer. S/N K688875 and I am trying to find out the year of manufacture (I think 1966) and approximate value (good condition but no box or paperwork). Can someone help? Thank you.

Yep. 1966, the last full year of -2 production.
These are fine guns, about as well balanced a revolver as S&W ever produced.
I like mine a lot (although it is a dash 3).

Depending on where you live, this would bring around $550-$575. Probably a bit more in Kalifornia.

From what I've seen lately $550.00 - $575.00 for a 2 1/2" M 19-2 is a little low. I recently paid $550.00 for a clean 2 1/2" M-66, and these are not a rare as an semi-early M-19.

Agree with old bear,
A dash 2 in really good shape is a 700 dollar gun here all
day long.

Okay. Thanks for the feedback, guys. I haven't even seen one for sale up here for a year or two. The last one I saw was without box and sold for about $525. I'm glad to hear they've moved upwards that much. Makes mine more valuable (although I doubt I'll ever sell it).
