Hopefully my pics of my Model 19-3 will show now:
Wearing Driscoll elk antler stocks, but I also have the original stocks that number to the gun, unfortunately no box or accessories.

Not only does the OP find a 2" 15, for which I have climbed topless mountains and swum bottomless seas, without any luck, but he finds a LNIB! Congratulations.

A 15-3 snub has replaced the Colt Python as my grail gun.
Is that a bad thing?
I can actually afford a K snub.

I saw a Python in the LGS yesterday for two grand, maybe more. $2900 maybe. I just laughed. They're wonderful guns and all but, seriously, what am I going to do with it that I can't do with a Model 27?
How many more K-snubs can I buy for my collection for that much money?

Colt's sure are pretty to look at..I will admit.
And the trigger on a Python or the Diamondback (and I have shot both...before they became collectable) is awesome.
BUT....I shot neither of them well at all. The factory target stocks in word ...suck.
Very uncomfortable to shoot and nowhere near as accurate as I thought it would be.
Sorry, but that's just how I expirenced them. The Diamondback was actually more accurate of the two, rivaling a 4 inch Model 10.
Buy more K frame snubbies....

My Pair
Well this cold snap has stopped my duck hunting so I have some time to post. Saw your pair so I have to show you mine. Not as nice as yours but I was looking for shooters. Been looking for both for quite a while now and got them both in the last month! The 15-3 shoots like a 6 inch. Mentioned to a friend that I was going to sell a shooter 19-4 4 inch to raise funds for a 19 snubby and he told me he had one to trade. Turns out he had recently got the gun at auction by scratching his ear at the wrong time. He wanted my 19 -4 ( I have a couple more) so we traded, Have not shot the 19-3 yet. Intend to carry and shoot both

And the great thing about a square butt K snub is that if you run out of ammo, you can crack a skull with the butt.

A fellow Club member showed me his 15-5 snub a while back that he had in the desk drawer at work. It looked to be unfired, no box or papers. He was really wanting a round butt to use a set of laser grips he owned on.
I traded a 2-1/2" 66 even up for it. I ended up with around $650 in it. Possibly a little much, but you do not see many 15 Snubs either.

I payed quite a bit more for this Model 15 than I ever thought I would but I hardly ever see the 2" length and with the total package I couldn't pass it up.

Absolutely true. In that day, a Dodge Dart, Plymouth Duster, Chevy Nova, & Ford Maverick were considered compact cars.
Today, "full sized" cars are smaller than compact cars of the 1970s.
I don't really have a point, except that I miss the cars of the 1950s to early 1970s.

I am, so glad to hear that!! From a fellow 15-3 snub owner (blued as well) I'm delighted to know someone else holds that gun to such a high regard as myself. I don't even like Pythons anymore. For one, the prices are extremely ridiculous, and for 2 because of the huge resurgence of Python fans due impart the Walking Dead, i wouldn't buy one for that reason alone. I have 3 bucket list guns I want to aquire in my life. As a kid I didn't like revolvers, heck I didn't like then up until a year ago. However, all my life I remember sewing 2 revolvers that always caught my attention and have wanted ever since. One, is a 15-3 blued snub (which I already thankfully own) and a blued snub Model 19-4 or lower (which I still need to aquire). Finally a blued snub Colt Diamondback (which I still have to aquire as well). Those 3 guns are the most amazing looking firearms I've ever seen in my life. They look like a piece of art! All would have to have the original wooden magna grips as well. Nice selection.

I don't want to start a flame war here but I would rather have a nice Model 15 than two Diamondbacks. I have owned two Model 15s and regret selling both. If you can't hit the target with a Model 15 then I politely suggest you couldn't hit it with anything.

On the contrary, I think it shows very refined judgment.
The only 15-3 I ever owned, a four-inch,
(my son has it now) had a sweeter action than any Python I ever handled.

VERY NICE! There are a few guns that really look cool to me. Your 15 snub is 1 of them. I tried to find 1 off & on for a couple of years with no luck. Settled for a 10-5, 2" RB. Great little gun! Bob

Gotcha to guns international right now and search for a smith and Wesson model 15. They just put up a 15-3,blued in absolutely mint condition for sale with box, papers and tools for $1,050! Little high, but I paid $750 for mine in mint condition with no box or papers.

I have been trying to find pics of a 15-5 or higher. The pinned barrels stopped with the -4 and I can't seem to find pics online of a snub higher than the -4. I was starting to think they didn't make them.

Absolutely gorgeous. I have one too, a -3 and it's one of 2 or 3 favorite handguns of all time. The 19 snub is another one as is the cube Colt diamondback blued.
