Default help with two pistols

OK hoe this owrks this time, tried to post here and some how it got put in the new member section??
any ways

OK I am a new guy here looking for some help on two pistols I have
I bought them many yrs back I forget the exact yrs, I ,haven't shot them in 15+ yrs more, but have
been thinking about them recently, and dug them out of the safe, and I am now wondering if I can find out more information on them, like what yr they were made and possible current value of them.
there both in very good shape, have there original boxes, and have low rounds count thru them
One is a model 617, serial number BES34"XX"
and the other is a 629 classic, serial number BNA58"XX"

here are a couple pictures, any help with info would be great and much appreciated
if any pic's of ?? are needed just ask and I can try to get better one's, I am not a great picture taker, but I try!

of the 617 , I changed the grips when I got it, but still original one's, and all info that came in the box, including the OEM cleaning kit, never opened or used it LOl

and the 629, and again I have the box and everything that came in it still

I don't have a new enough book to check those serials but they started with AAA in 1983 so neither is real old. May still be in current production.

I was thinking I got them in the late 80's, but wasn't sure, been a long time and many other guns between them and now
also, I looked on the S&W site and don't see them as current production models in like forms as I have
looked about online and seen prices all over the place so, was hoping some folks here would have a better idea on exact daste maybe or better real world idea on Value's

but thanks for the info so far

BES probably shipped in early 1990, and BNA in about February 1993. The 617 would probably sell for $700 or so; not sure about the 629. Hope this is helpful.

I was looking at a 629 Classic like that.
I got distracted by a mid 1960s 10-5 snub in gorgeous condition.

thanks again, and I hear you, I get distracted by shiny objects of my intrest way too easy too LOL
seem to be why I have so many things added to the piles these days!
that some reason at the time I must have felt I needed , and now?? cannot remember all the reasons I added things
or even when I got them
funny how the yrs going by does that to a mind!
still enjoy all I have, but the details are no longer so fresh!
glad there are sites like this with help at times!
