I took my new (old) M36-1 and my highway patrolman 28-2 out to the range for the first time.
Both functioned perfectly.
With the 36-1 I was able to achieve minute-of-pie-plate at 12 yards right off with in SA. I need a lot of practice with DA shooting as I was only able to get maybe 3 out of 5 shots on the 8" paper plate target.
I used 130 grain Winchester FMJ target ammo, and it shoots about 4" low in the 36-1 at 36 feet.
Possibly 158 grain bullets would come up to point of aim.
With the 28-2 I shot 158 grain Ficcochi 357 magnum loads. These are very low power for a 357 magnum load -- more like a 38 special +P in a 357 magnum case.
In the big 6" 28-2, the Ficcochi ammo seems like powder puff loads.
I was able to get small (2") groups in SA and keep all the shots in the center part of the paper plate in DA.
The 28-2 is a dream to shoot. Solid as a rock.
I'm very happy with both guns.
I've posted there pictures before, but here are the guns I shot today:
