Default Engraved M67, Hurst Stocks

This was found in a pawn shop in Sacramento CA, I found it on a table at the Big Reno Show. I talked to Angelo Bee at the last Las Vegas show and he said he remembered doing it in the 80's for Cheshire & Perez in the LA area. The left side shows the LAPD Distinguished Expert shooting badge in gold (minimum score 385 of 400 on the shooting bonus course for as I recall five months in a row). The right side has an LAPD badge (the number is near mine) as issued in the mid 70's to present. I tried to find out whose it was, but LAPD personnel was very uncooperative.

The Hurst stocks often seem to be a point of contention as to how they were marked. I can't speak for the entire production, but this one is clearly marked.

VERY NICE!!
I'm surprised the original owner let that go, unless it was maybe sold out of an estate. Post a close up of the LAPD badge#, lot's of current and former members here. That may help in an I.D. for the original owner.

WELL, 2 things I can guarantee you about that revolver.
1- Those are John Hurst stocks
2- That work was NOT done at the LAPD armory.
OMG, that is beautiful, thats alot of work on a 100.00 or so gun(cost at retirement). Model 67 last issued 6 or 7 -89, then Berettas
I thought I had seen about every embellishment on a duty gun but that is beyond any expectation.
I AM SO JEALOUS...
Not sure I could afford it at todays gold prices but if Im glad someone else has bought it so I didnt have to rob a bank....Thanks so much for showing it , Bob

I think that may be the coolest gun I have ever seen! If it were mine, it would be my favorite.

Wow, that's beautiful. Maybe contact the LAPD History Museum. Send them pics of that beauty. They might be more cooperative given it's possible historic value.

Gorgeous gun! Hurst grips really have to be seen from behind to appreciate just how good his checkering was. You just can't imagine how much of a palm swell he could achieve and still keep the lines of checkering as straight as an arrow - with a high LPI no less.

Here is a behind pic. Everybody on the Forum needs to hold a gun with some on it just for the experience. That Hurst guy knowed what he was doing.

I have three pair of Hurst K frame stocks, courtesy my old friend Fred Romero, LAPD retired, who was big buds with John.

They are not for sale at any price.

DAY-UM! That is some sweet bling right there, son! And those GRIPS. They make cokes look like flat slabs of wood....
