Default Model 10-5 stamps on frame

Today I got curious and took my model 10 apart to see if all the numbers matched. Good news is they do.

I noticed on the right side of the frame on the butt there were 2 stamps. one was an "H" inscribed in a circle and the other was a "G" inscribed in a triangle with rounded vertices. Do y'all know what these could mean? The revolver dates to 1976-77.

Thanks
Franz

Sorry no pictures. I have a Blackberry.

Here is a link to a post I made about marks on my 586 no-dash:
My 586 project is finally done! **WARNING - S&W Purists may want to skip this**

I was told that the marks were all just fitter and/or inspector's marks.

If you want, PM me and I'll give you my info - you can text or email me some pictures and I'll post them for you.

That makes sense. Mine looks the same except I have an H and a G where you have a Z and a T.

I would send you some pics, but the markings don't show up on my atrocious Blackberry camera. I'd have better luck scanning a Polaroid.

Thanks for your help
