Default Manufacture date model 27-2

I have a stainless 357 magnum, with 8 3/8 inch barrel, pinned barrel, 3 screw, adjustable rear sight, s.n. N695xxx on butt and on yoke (?) and MOD. 27-2 under the sn. I am wanting to know the date of manufacture. If anybody can steer me to a ser. num. chart, I would appreciate it. This gun is like new, with a wide trigger and wide hammer, both checked. Grips are Pachmayr Presentation. Any info would be appreciated, even a rough estimate of value. I have shot 12 rounds thru it in twenty years. Previous owner only shot it a few times.

Welcome aboard. 1980'ish.

But that would be Nickel unless it is an aftermarket finish. Post some pictures.

Does it have an N on the cylinder somewhere around the chambers, outside the extractor star?

Yes, it has an N on the cylinder and the n and ser num are behind the yoke, on the frame, with the 27-2 under the sn. I called it stainless, Nickel is what I meant.

^^^ I'd go with 1978-80. ^^^ Probably closer to 1980 AND Nickel. Oh, and we like pictures... WELCOME!
