Default My New N Frame Snubbie

About 3-4 years ago Numrich Arms (GPC) had a sale/close-out on some nickel plated 2 1/2" Model 25 barrel in .45 ACP, I bought two. They also had a blued Model 25 cylinder assembly in .45 ACP, I bought one. Had great success with Model 28 conversions in .44 spl. so I decided to do one in .45 acp and later, one in .45 Colt. Pictured below is the .45 acp. I had Ford's refinishing strip the nickel from the barrel and blue the barrel and frame. The cylinder was new and perfect. Andy Horvath of Diagonal Rd. Gunsmithing in Lagrange, OH did the assembly/set-up work. To me it looks great, looking forward to shooting it w/ 255 gr SWCs in Auto Rim cases.

I already have another Model 28. When I get enough scratch together, Andy will get it it after the other barrel comes back from Ford's after stripping, re-lettering to ".45 Colt".

Any comments appreciated.

Neat. Is it just green from the lighting, or is it that color in real life?

Blame my old camera and my green deck canopy, it is a blued gun.

Thanks Steve. I was born in NYC and grew up in Jersey City, NJ before retiring to South Carolina. Was always on the look-out for NJSP on Route 80!

A most Excellent revolver.

I think that a S&W in 45 ACP is the best self defense, personal protection, combat revolver on the Planet.

It makes a good field revolver as well...

Well, you wouldn't have had to worry about me, Mike! I was a South Jersey (Troop A) boy.

The funny thing about 45ACP revolvers is you cant have just one.

That's a beautiful revolver. I'm REALLY itching for a .45 revolver for my next purchase (whenever that actually happens--have to convince the wife).

I love big bore revolvers, and it seems like the .45 is perfect for a revolver. six huge charge holes.

that looks like the perfect carry piece for a .45 revolver.

You've got my attention!

That's a great looking big old snubbie, and chambered in the correct round! I like the Pachy's for shooting, but she needs some kind of wood for special occasions

Nicely done, Sir!

Thanks for replies, As far as wood grips go, I am going to try repro Magna grips w/ a Tyler T grip adapter. Cursed w/ small hands.

Mike, that revolver looks as if it's all about business; it's an attention getter.
