Default What was this Model 66 I used to have?

About 10 years or so ago I picked up 2 Model 66's that had been recently imported by Century and were DAO. At the time I think I found a reference that they'd come from somewhere in Canada but I never could confirm anything about that story.

Regrettably both are gone now (and have been for 6-8 years) so I can't give information about the markings other than there were no Department markings or anything like that.

One interesting thing that has stuck with me is even though they were DAO they still had the hammer spur.

Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?

Thanks!

A few months ago I purchased a Model 10-5 and someone had done a hatchet job trying to bob the hammer. I went to e-bay in search of a full hammer and did see one seller who advertised several hammers for sale with "no single action notch", I passed on that but that might be how that worked.

Yes, they were "no single action notch" hammers. I thought about putting a "regular" hammer in one but never got around to it.

Red face

Just realized I put this in the wrong section as they were post-1980.

This is what happens when I post after my bedtime...
