I have to brag a little..10-5
I just had a model 10-5 follow me home today. Finish is just about perfect! Serial number puts it in the early 70's...belonged to a security guard that, after cleaning it, never fired it. $410.00 out the door...I'm happy!

I am waiting for the same gun to be delivered right now. Great choice they are in my top five list of S&W's. Gotta love the fixed sight guns.
Enjoy Pete

I like the thin barrel versions of the model 10. I have only been able to score the heavy barrel versions of the model 10 an 64. Nice revolver. Good purchase.

Very nice purchase! My 10-5 only has a 2"bbl but I think I can live with it.

Congrats on your 10-5. Without a doubt the M&P 38 special that became the model 10 are the classic Police Service revolver. Here is my 10-7.
Enjoy yours.

Gentlemen, great looking 'classics' all of you have. You just don't see 4-inch, fixed sight .38's, like the Model 10, on the gun shelves anymore. The 4-inch "standard" barrel Model 10 has always been a favorite with me. The PD trade-ins have dried up, to include the heavy barrel 10's. These were once 'common' sights in the local GS, at one time. Not anymore though, just the trade-in PD-wondernines now, that don't attract my attention. Thanks so much for showing the 'great' cop .38 of the past, the Model 10.
