I think I stole it....
Just picked up a 19-4 4", original box, paperwork, wax paper.... original grips and a set of wood grained finger grooved baker lite grips at the LGS..... For a whoping $450.
Just a light drag line and minimal holster wear.
I'll post some pics when she gets out of jail.

Wow, congratulations! Sounds like you made a heck of a find. In today's market that is easily $100 to $150 below what they are selling for. Can't wait to see photos.

Who is going to get out of jail first, you or the gun? The only better deal I have heard of is a policeman I know is offered guns once and a while free. Sometimes old ladies just want them gone from the house. Of course he has never taken 1. Has gotten some good deals though. Enjoy your 19! Bob

A nice buy if it includes all the extra goodies. Without them, the $450 would be about correct for a 19-4. I've recently seen a couple at about that price (asking).

Dwalt
Usually you can't touch a 19 for less than $550 around here, and a box is unheard of. This was actually part of a collection a widow brought in for consignment.

It just illustrates local pricing differences and also the details and circumstances of the sale - private? Gun shop? Pawn shop? online auction? estate sale? Gun show? That's why gun price guides like the Blue Book are so unreliable. Gun prices in CA would be somewhat greater, so people here say. I guess everything in CA is more expensive.

In my area:
About 10 years ago, really nice ones were selling for about $350.
About 5 years ago, the price was about $450.
Today, I would expect the price to be $550 - $750, depending on just how nice it is. The thing is, today you do not see them much around here any more.

I paid $650 for mine. Very nice condition, but no box or papers, and Pachmyrs, not targets for grips.
Yes, you got a great deal on it for sure.
