Model 36 Mania!
I recently purchased a NIB Model 36. It has quickly become one of my favorite S&Ws ever.
But I thought about it, and realized I ought to have a square butt too. So I just won one on GB a few minutes ago. I've got the J-bug bad!

I bought a 2" in July. My 1st. Bought a 3" a few weeks ago. (1957) The 3 is a lot easier for me to shoot. I do have the original diamond grips, box & papers. Bob

WOW! You mean I can have TWO J's a day?!?! Oh. I'm dizzy!
No, wait. That must be the withdrawal.
Quick! I need more!
Nighty-night.
I'm signing off now, guys. (The CCDL poker run is tomorrow. I'm "card-giver-outer" at the last stop.)

I picked up a 36 last year. In fact I carried it today.
I have an old KRAMER holster made for my 640-1 2 1/8" so the 36 sticks out a little on the bottom - no problem. The Kramer holds J frames so tight you can't shake the gun out but can still release it with a pull. Great holster.

"Can you ID these grips please?"
I have no idea who made them..
They were on the baby chief I got from the widow of the Chief of Police of
Longbranch, N.J. in 1969.
Not that good for CC, but are great in the console of the Tahoe..

As much as I like the RB grips on J Frames, the SB I also have is really sweet and easier to shoot. Makes a lot of sense combining a SB Grip on a 3" bull barrel gun.

Those are VERY cool grips, STCM(SW).
Your 36 is disguised as a semi-shrouded hammer wheelie. Yup, very cool.

I started out with a 2" 36 in July. Got a 3" early Sept. The 3" with square butt & the extra inch, is a plus in my book! TRY IT, you'll like it! Bob

The only Model 36 I ever owned was a square butt, nickeled version. I guess I should have kept it but I gave it to a friend. Oh, well.....I've settled on a 642, 649, and 638 since then. They'll have to do. For now........

I saw a neat 36, nickel 3 incher at the local gun show yesterday. It sure was a cute little thing. I was cash deficient, and bought my blue 36 3" at the prior show. Bob

I'm sure the M36 on GB is the same one I looked at and would have bid on in a heartbeat but the seller had only one past sales transaction when i went to check his feedback. His ad was very deficient in detail and the price was under valued at the time and after shooting him an email for further details (he didn't include dash or otherwise) he came back with a real vague uneducated response and it left me with a bad feeeling, RED LIGHT! I find there are more and more sellers on GB these days that just don't take the time to post a decent amount of information in there ads and I am sure some are scammers. If they were so GB would do little to help you out so if it doesn't feel right as in this case it probably isn't.
I hope you receive your M36 and this fellow was just a flake and unresponsive to my inquiry but these days if the sellers are not well established I move on, just my opinion. Good Luck
