Default Model 37, return for repair or not ????

I have a nice model 37 (circa 1979) and was cleaning it the other night and noticed a crack in the frame under the barrel, my question is it worth the trouble sending it back to Smith & Wesson for repair ?. Will they repair it or send me a replacement ?

Only you will be able to answer to the first question.

They won't be able to repair or replace it. They might be able to help get you a new revolver of some kind though. I'm not sure.

Good luck!

Take it to a gunsmith to make sure it's a crack. After that ????????

Default crack

I don't think I have to take it to a gunsmith to tell me if it is a crack ! I am well versed in cracks, thanks

They will, at best, offer to sell you one at a discounted price. I found thier idea of a discounted price was higher than I could buy them at a gun show.

Broken Model 37
