Default model 65-2 4" info?(pics added!!)

I got a mod (65-2) 4" for $400 its in great shape pacmyer and wooden grips, whats the value of this amazing piece of steel? Shipping date was 1979. And its pinned.

Well some would say it's worth $400 since that's what you gave for it.
Are the wooden grips the original S&W grips? Did you get the box and other goodies that came with it? Pictures would show us what great shape means. The Pachmayrs don't add much value.
As a M65-2 it should be pinned and recessed.
If it's just the gun and is in "great" shape I'd say you got a good deal.
I'll let the others decide value because gun prices have gone crazy these days.

well here are some pics, i have since polished it, im sure you can see the difference. i think 400 was an ok price well i had 350 in it, traded a Taurus judge public defender ultra lite for it that i had 350 invested in.

If this is your first model 65 you will love it!!! These are great guns and a blast to shoot...$400 is a good deal around here...
