Found Another Desirable 2 1/2" 19-3
This one has the grip SN with the last digit one number off from the gun. 3K prefix. The hammer felt a little gritty at the final stages of cocking. Disassembled it, cleaned/lubed and reassembled it and all is well. I think the seller was aware of the guns shortcomings which was good for me. There are no defects in the bluing, just some reflections in the photos. It wasn't a killer price but not bad. Whoever shot this one must have cleaned it with something that messed up the finish at the top of the right grip panel. I'll have it looking better than new, after I see how it shoots!

I still have mine. I carried it both on and off duty. I don't think you'll find one better than a Model 19 2 1/2".

You luck into a clean one once in a while.
I stumbled into a 15-5 Snub Combat Masterpiece a couple years ago that looked unfired. It was not cheap, but 15 Snubs are not common in my neck of the woods. Especially in 98% condition.

Beautiful Model 19 but, I am confused. What do you mean the butt SN is one-off from the gun? Is the SN on the yoke different than the butt of the gun?

I've seen a run of 19-3s on the forum boards lately. Yours is another beautiful example. Congratulations!

SN on the butt is 3K 49473. The grip is 49474.
