Reply to M617 Pro ?
There are many variants of the M617 as I shopped quite awhile and ended up with the new 617-6 4" barrel 10 round. I don't believe there is a pro version of this model. I found my very difficult at the time 4" version from D L Hunting, you can check their home site and it will direct you to GI or buy direct from them. Another good option, but be willing to wait is K Y GUNS and Buds Guns. There seems to be a real dry period of availability between runs of this model although when I bought mine D L Hunting got a dozen 4" and they lasted a week or so. In my case I payed $750 NIB, I have seen them for as low as $730. If you want a older no lock version be willing to pay a grand for one in very good condition if you can find one. Good Luck

On my old computer I have info regarding a 617 run that was made for export to Germany. I believe these may be what your referring to.
Six inch barrel, with the flat sides of the current Pro Series guns.
I'll see what I can find on my back up drive.

Model 617-1 Performance Center
I saw the picture while searching for something on Google last Friday. The 617-1 PC resembles my 627,"8 TIMES", except that it is a beautiful K-frame. Appears that PC made 306 of these for export to Wischo of Germany. The specimen I saw wore a set of single handed target grip's that enhanced its lines. The price of these limited run 17's would go to the deepest pockets. Truly desirable.
