Price check on a mint in the box 25-2 45ACP
Hello all,
I ran into one of these today mint in the presentation case and has the original box/packaging. What would be a fair price? Thanks in advance!

The Model of 1955 .45 ACP Target was in the catalog for a very long time. Much depends upon the era during which it was produced. Naturally, the S-serialed guns will usually bring more than comparable N-serialed guns. Diamond target stocks help too. Some were shipped in plain boxes, others in presentation cases. Most all had plain, Patridge front sights but a scarce few were shipped with ramp front sights, some sights of both types were accented with red or gold inserts. These guns were often special order. The last examples were made with 6" barrels but most were 6 1/2". A very rare few were made with 4" barrels. So depending upon what you are looking at, the value will vary.

Model 25-2 Price
I have been following the 25-2's for a while on GB and nice ones in the wooden presentation case are going for about $1300 or so. Without the case or box and maybe not quite like new for around $900. I saw a few at the Louisville gun show in early March in the same price ranges. I should have bought one down there for $1300, but I decided not to. But look at my post from yesterday; one just went on GB for over $3200. I have no idea why as it was not an early SN. Maybe they are going for more or less in different areas, but these are the prices I am seeing. Willyboy

The serial was N458### if that helps. The person was asking 850.00. It's just not a appealing caliber to me. Thanks again for everyone's input!

If it's in the condition you describe in the presentation case along with the original packing, I would definitely jump on it for $850.00.
