New to me NICKEL 36
Other thread I said I broke my New Years resolution not to buy another. Here it is. This one was dirtiest I ever saw inside. After a day of cleaning it's good. Action is smooth. Will need a better set of stocks. Have not checked its age yet. J7555--. Will be the one I let granddaughter shoot. Granddaughter had her first safety class from me. She did fine. You have to hold it straight to shoot it!?

Why would want to replace what look like original diamond magnas? Check the inside of the right stock. It is probably numbered to the gun.

I would agree with this however I would add that the factory stocks on S&W J frames are not the most ergonomic in the world. I have a J frame RB Nickel that's a safe queen and so doesn't get shot. If it were a shooter I would have to do something with the stocks. My advice would be to "substitute" the stocks for a more comfortable pair and save the originals to put back on it if need.

Bud before you replace the stocks try adding a Tyler T Grip. They look cool, will give you a much better grip and will add nothing to the revolver in the way of concealment.

Stocks don't number to the gun. I'll replace with correct SW when I find some. No T needed for this one it fits super.
