finally my model 19-3
Been on the prowl recently for one of these in 4" barrel. They've been pretty elusive in my area but I found this one for $520.

Nice score. You'll enjoy that. For me, the Model 19 with a 4" bbl has superb balance and just an overall great feel to it.

Your edited pics really do your 19-3 justice. That thing is beautiful. Nice grain on the stocks too.

4", Mod-19. The epitome of the revolvers. Now you are going to look for a snub, RB. I know, happened to me. Good snag.

Wow, you beat my deal! Stumbled across a nice 19-3 TTT a couple months ago for $549 (no box) and thought I hit the gold mine! But, the wife loved it with some smaller Herrett Shooting Star grips, so, it has been re-appropriated :-) Nice find, and congrats!

Model 19-4 with 3 T's minus 1
Elusive OK, pricey, not so much. Looks to have been worth waiting for. I was lucky to have purchased this 3-T's M19-4 from a fellow Forum member for around $500. Very well cared for it came with target stocks that don't fit me well so I dressed it up with a pair of moradillo Ahrends. I like yourself waited a long time for the right deal to roll around. It was worth the wait as the seller was also a very nice fellow. All's well that ends well.

Excellent example. This is just to show you why you need a 2 1/2" -3 to go with the 4". Let the hunt begin.

A 4" model 19 or Model 66 is a must have for any serious Smith and Wesson Collector. They are Iconic.
Here are my two most Iconic Smiths, a model 19-4 and a 29-2, from around the same time frame:

Well if it's made a law to own a 19 in 4 inch I'm ok. Mines from 1976 a 19-3. $550 a year ago.

S&W did use some nice wood on those -3's but I think Tom R is cheating.

I like the Herretts myself. I have short fingers and beefy mitts and the Shooting Stars fit me well. I like that you can usually find them in junk boxes at gunshows fairly cheaply too! My 4" 19 is a -4, but I have a 19-3 snub

We use one of these in our introduction to revolvers class. It looks terrible on the outside but tight and smooth on the inside. Everyone so far can shoot this one.
