At or under $500 would be a good price. If you really want it badly put $600 on the counter and see what happens .

I guess any S&W in a box is a high priced collectors item. $800 for a 1970s safe gun, may be right.

While I agree that is too high for me to pay, that is right in line with what I saw at the gun show last weekend for transaction prices.

If it's absolutely NIB (not "LNIB"), with everything there, in perfect condition, that may not be too far off. There's always a premium attached to something collectable as that would be. It's high $ if you're just looking for a nice shooter, though.

That is a great find and a good price for a 45 years old NIB Nickeled Bodyguard that very few people will be able to purchase in that condition for any price. Not that long ago I purchased a Mod 27-2 with 5" for $550. and said right then that I've never spent so much for a handgun before and I already owned a 29-2 and a Python. Anyhow you got a cool gun Jeep, valued more than that paper stuff.
