Default Scope Mounts

There have been a couple of threads lately about scoping revolvers. This has rekindled an old bug that's been crawling around in my brain for a few years now. I'm gettin' older and my eyes sure ain't what they used to be. I'm thinking some sighting help may be in order.
I do own a few semi-autos with either a scope or red dot on them and find this helps quite a bit.
I have several revolvers that are likely candidates for optics, but all are older models that are not factory drilled and tapped. Some of these have some collector value and I sure don't want to be drilling extra holes in them.
So my questions are who makes the best no gunsmithing optics mount for S&W revolvers? Do the ones with clamps harm the finish? What has or hasn't worked for you?

I have never seen a no drill mount that works not harm the finish in some way. Depending on your plans for you revolvers you may want to pick one or two and have them properly drilled and tapped. I'm not a hardcore collector but to me a couple of holes under the sight don't detract from a guns value. If you are passing these guns down to family or friends the value is in the history more than the condition. If these are part of your financial future I wouldn't alter them in any way as you eliminate the big money collectors from your prospective buyers pool.

No gun smithing mounts seem to always leave a mark . Unless it's new in the box I've found people pay for what they want . Example is a 29-3 with a 10 5/8" drilled and tapped of mine sold for a grand and it in 99% condition in finish .

I forgot , I liked the B-square on the guns I do have no drill mounts . B-square also made one that only used the existing sight screw and a "T" shaped bracket that fit into the sight slot with another screw and no jaw clamp which I use on my m-17 .
